Transport

The sunsets here are great, on clear days. I love the silhouettes of the trees. Geebung Train Station, 5:45pm.
And Orford. My mum wondered about buying this boat, and apart from not having anywhere to keep it, I don't see why not. I don't expect it would be terribly expensive...

And here's a windmill which I presume is at Horsey, from the name of the file. But I don't know where Horsey is or even if it is a place.

Closeups

An informative shot today. Here's my new mp3 player, with 50p coin for size comparison.
And here's a smile of strawberries, which I thought was brilliant..

On a side note, I don't think I'll be able to keep this going daily. Work takes a lot of my time up, and when I finally get out of work it's too dark to take pictures. But I'll do as much as I can.

Colours

I saw this house, and was amazed by just how yellow it is.
And my mum got this shot of the backyard back home. Love it.

Flora

Flowers today. I saw a tree full of these and they were so clean and unpolluted. Most flowers I've ever seen are half dead, have insects in them, etc..
And this is the shop's kitchen's windowsill, I believe.

Late again

On the way home from work last night the sunset was absolutely stunning, with the forest silhouetted in front of it. I got my camera out, and it promptly beeped at me and died.
So here's a photo I took today, in a park.
And here's a house with a tremendous view somewhere along the coast road in Norfolk.

Day and Night

I like these trees. View from the train station I board at some mornings.
And view from my mum's bedroom window. I'm impressed that the light hasn't just dazzled the picture.

Skyline

I took this picture of the city from the train this morning. I love the skyline, I don't know why. I think it's partly because it's only the CBD that's got a skyline. You can see the rail depot in the foreground, too.
And this is Stella Maris, Our Lady Star of the Sea, in Lowestoft, from the Britten Centre Market.

A pair and a peir

Not much to link these two other than a half rhyme.

Here are two cockatoos (perhaps two cockatoo? I'm not sure if that's right or not) in the back garden.
And this is Cromer Pier, looking a bit of a hybrid between 30s building and 00s paving.

Such drama

So, we get a lot of pictures of the sky. There's a lot going on up there, and it's always nice when it's a change from pure blue or completely grey.

I was fooling about, annoying Laura with the camera on the way home from the Valley today. And I accidentally took this pic, that I love.

Here's the sky, for once not completely blue. I love how these clouds always look just like brush strokes.

I just really like the red door frames on this wardrobe. It might only be because it's bright enough red that I can see it.

Opposites

Dark and light, still and fast, mechanical and animal.. Closest I'm getting to a link.

Here's half a sculpture in Geebung. The sculpture itself is pretty interesting but what I liked most (and almost completely failed to capture) is the uplighting in the dark.
And this is a corn bug, I'm told. I really, really like this picture.

Withdrawl

It has been brought to my attention that my ridiculous and unfounded claims that England has no palm trees were both ridiculous and unfounded.

Flora

Back on track now.

Plant life this evening - and back to normal. Nice dry australian cactus, and wet english flowers. Daisies? I don't know my flowers very well.

Backwards

Been suffering with some kind of head/stomach thing all morning, so another late one :(

I love how well this one has worked though. I like seeing the mix of trees, between the ones we have in England and the palm trees. But I actually took this picture to show it does rain down here.
My mum, on the other hand, took this picture to show that it does actually stop raining in England.

Always makes me laugh..

I saw this building in the city and just had to snap it. I love the uplighting most, I think. And the contrast.
And this shot of my mum's always makes me chuckle. I think there's some kind of promotion on at Westgate, but I'm just not sure....

Late again.

Went to a restaurant straight from work last night, didn't get home til 11, so here's today's post.

Leaving work I saw this sign. I've made a lot of jokes about Australians being upside down, but I didn't realise they even read upside down..
Lowestoft North Beach this time, and a nice straight horizon again. I love the way the sun on the water almost makes it fade to white at the edge.

Tuesday

I like the music posters, and the two different trees here. I was hoping I'd either get a clear road or a car blurred in the middle, but I got neither. Never mind.
Mum got this shot at Lowestoft's South Beach. I'm still amazed by her horizons.
